The Master in Public Health (SP) at ESMOSS is a qualification registered with the RNCP at Level 7. Over two years, it trains professionals capable of designing, implementing and evaluating health policies and programmes for populations to prevent disease, promote health and manage health crises at both individual and collective levels.
This programme is perfectly suited to managers committed to health promotion, who are seeking creative, passionate, curious and motivated collaborators.

Programme objectives
The Master in Public Health (SP) at ESMOSS is a state-recognised qualification at Level 7 that aims to achieve the following objectives:
Acquire the skills necessary to understand and lead health programmes and strategies
Master the study of disease distribution and causes within populations
Understand the organisation, financing and governance of health systems at both national and international levels
Design and evaluate prevention and awareness initiatives to improve access to care and patient management
Analyse the links between the environment (pollution, climate) and health, as well as occupational health risks
Manage and coordinate teams in the public health sector
Support both public and private organisations in defining their public policies and strategies for promoting public health
FURTHER STUDIES
This Master’s degree is professionally oriented and therefore leads directly to employment.
This programme does not offer any equivalences or transfer pathways
Students entering the first year of the Master’s programme are required to validate all skills blocks
Prerequisites & Duration of Studies
Prerequisites
ENTRY LEVEL(S)
Bachelor’s degree / Licence and Bac+4
Prerequisites: The Master in Public Health at ESMOSS is open to holders of a Bachelor’s degree / Licence or any other Level 6 qualification and, for entry into the second year of the Master’s programme, to candidates who have validated a Master 1 or have obtained a waiver from the certifying body.
Admission is based on the review of the application file and may include an interview.
Duration
DURATION OF STUDIES:
- 2 years for students holding a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification, and 1 year for students who have completed the first year of a Master’s programme.
- Work-study programme available.
Teaching Methods and Assessment
Assessment Methods: Case studies and/or tests and/or essays and/or text analyses and/or multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and/or oral assessments and/or research projects / Continuous assessment / Work-study and competency evaluation (written + oral) / Thesis defence / Professional evaluation in the company
Programme Summary Documents: Course materials (PDF, and/or Word, and/or PPT formats), case studies and/or audio and video resources, and any exercises to be completed during the programme
Admission Procedures and Deadlines
Access deadlines
- Applications for the September 2025 intake are open from 1 March to 20 September 2025.
- Applications for the deferred January 2026 intake remain open until 18 December.
Modalities
Access to our programmes may be initiated:
- By the employer,
- At the employee’s initiative, with their employer’s agreement,
- By a student or their legal guardian
- Work-study is available from the third year onwards
Upon completion of the application form, our institution undertakes to respond within 72 hours.
If the programme requires specific prerequisites, we will propose, regardless of the funding method you are considering, a knowledge assessment and/or a positioning interview (by telephone or videoconference) and/or a review of your application file.
Funding
- The work-study contract: the company covers the tuition fees on behalf of the student.
- The Individual Training Leave (CIF).
- Individual Training Support (AIF), if you are a job seeker.
- Personal funding through a student job or a bank loan.
- You have the option to pay your tuition fees in several instalments.
